The role
We're looking for a General Manager (Technology & Operations) to join our leadership team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a varied and influential leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business while helping shape the future direction of the business, working closely with senior leadership to ensure our clients continue to receive an exceptional standard of service, our team has the support and leadership they need to succeed, and the business continues to grow.
You'll lead by example, bringing together people, processes and technology to drive continuous improvement, strengthen client relationships and build on the reputation BSG has earned over more than 47 years. Alongside leading day-to-day operations, you'll contribute to projects, business initiatives and the ongoing development of the company.

What you'll be doing
Lead, support and develop the technical and operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensuring clients receive a consistently high standard of service.
Monitor operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Work closely with senior leadership to support the continued growth and development of the business.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners and key suppliers, acting as a senior point of contact where required.
Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget.
Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and help clients make the most of the technology services we provide.
Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and service delivery.
Provide regular operational reporting, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who combines strong leadership with a collaborative approach, sound commercial judgement and a genuine desire to help people and businesses succeed. While not every candidate will have every skill or experience listed below, the following provides an indication of the qualities and experience we're looking for.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience leading teams within a technology or service-based business.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Commercial awareness and sound business judgement.
- A good understanding of technology services and the ability to work effectively with technical teams.
- Experience improving operational processes and driving accountability, performance and results.
- The ability to build strong, long-term relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate, support, and develop others.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and continuous improvement with day-to-day operational management.
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Project management experience or relevant project management qualifications.
- Experience supporting business growth and operational improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of managed IT services, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, networking, cloud technologies, CCTV, or access control solutions.
- Relevant leadership, management, or business qualifications.
